Graphic Design

Graphic Design, also known as "Desktop Publishing" involves taking various visual elements (photographs or graphics) and combining them with text to form a complete presentation. Another way of explaining it, would be to say that graphic design is the layout and placement of visual elements and text. This is separate from creating photographs and graphics to be used in a design later. Often times, a client can come with their visual graphics already created and only need someone to arrange it in an attractive fashion for printing and publication.
